How providers enter this record, what is checked, and how the ordering works. Version 1.1.

Inclusion

This is a list of UK companies that sell training to organisations. A firm is included when its own website shows it trains organisations and it is an active company on the Companies House register. Firms are found through web search, the government's Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers, professional bodies' approved-centre lists, and UK public contract awards. Schools, universities, course marketplaces and individual freelance trainers are not listed. Every field records the page it came from and the date it was checked; a field with no source is left empty.

Ordering

Verified providers are listed above unverified ones. Within each block, providers are ordered by the number of recorded public contracts, then by the total value awarded. Verification is paid; the ordering rule is stated on every ranking page.

Contract values

Values are the contract value awarded as published in the notice, in pounds sterling where the notice states them. Totals add only pound values. A value is attributed to a provider only when the award names a single supplier. A framework shows its ceiling, which is not revenue earned. We do not estimate revenue.

Corrections and removal

A firm may correct its own profile after claiming it. A firm whose website has been unreachable for two consecutive quarterly checks is marked dormant rather than deleted, so the record of past contracts survives.
